Overview

Chroma-Blend® is a new innovation from Chroma's laboratories. Chroma's research has developed this carefully formulated blend of ground material and pellets, offering rotational molders a precolored feedstock at a significant savings. Chroma's Research and Development Group continues to test a number of unique combinations of materials to expand its value added products for the rotational molding industry.

Savings

The use of Chroma-Blend® can achieve significant raw material cost savings by eliminating grinding on the pellet portion of the order.

Use Requirements

Ground and pelletized materials are supplied by Chroma in separate containers. No mixing is required and the mold can be charged with the specified blend (which may range from 70-90% pellets and 10-30% powder) simultaneously.

Product Trials

Chroma is available to assist in developing custom blends of ground materials, pellets and/or microspheres for your specific application.

Technical Specifications

According to independent testing conducted at McMaster University, Chroma-Blend® materials produce parts with physical properties substantially equivalent to parts made from 100% ground material.
